In addition, the biochemical index showed that CE plus NM could improve the antioxidant enzyme activity of the aging rats, decrease lipofuscin (LF) and glutamate content. Cognitive function assessment was performed using the Morris water maze test. CE and NM were administered to aging rats through different dose gavage once a day.
